Thunder Tiger

The Thunder Tiger Raptor has taken the helicopter market by storm the past several months since its introduction.  The common theme running through every review from Rconline.com to Rotary Modeler to Model Helicopter World is this: The Raptor is the best .30 size machine on the market.

Edward Walker of RConline brought one of the first Raptors (a demo model) by the shop before the helicopter was available.  It look pretty interesting, but you never can tell until you get to actually fly one.  I ordered a couple. Waited patiently for them to arrive, and when they did threw a radio in a 49BB ARF and took it to the field.  The first thing I noticed was how smooth and stable the little Raptor was.  It felt like I was flying a larger .46 size machine.  I flew a few circuits with it and it tracked great.  It wasn't the least bit pitchy.  Then we cranked up the head speed (1700 to 1800) and tried some aerobatics with it.  It was terrific.  It loops, rolls, does death spirals and tail slides,  is very smooth inverted, has a very good tail...  You name it it does it.  Then the best thing happened, we tried a few autorotations.  It autos great, better than any other .30 or even .46 that I have flown.  I was very impressed.

Since those first few days the Raptor has logged many a flight without wearing or any pieces flying off.  I think I must agree with the reviewers, The Raptor is a great .30/50 Size Machine.  Try one!!!!
